Motorstorm RC (a title that’s been getting some solid word of mouth) is completely free in this week’s PSN update… or is it?
That little question mark is there because there’s a load of DLC up already for the game, with surely more to come. I suppose that makes MSRC almost a ‘freemium’ game doesn’t it? Download the base game for nothing and then pick and choose a’la carte style what extra’s you’d like to tack on.
It’s a style of marketing that I’m not too fond of personally. I’d rather pay up from the start and get a complete (or at least mostly complete) experience than have to hunt and trap DLC out in the PSN (or whatever) wilds to get the level of play that I want. Still though… free game!
There’s a bunch of other newness for PSV owners again this week as well- like early access for Journey (the game, not the band) and free Um Jammer Lammy for PSPlussers. Kick, punch- it’s all in the… no wait, wrong game.
