Nintendo completes interesting acquisition; Mobiclip

Interesting bit of news here: Mobiclip, the middleware development company whose clients include such high profile businesses such as Al Jazeera (which uses the technology to stream to mobile phones), has formally been acquired by Nintendo.

The company has announced as much through its website. The acquisition itself isn’t necessarily a surprise, since the company has worked with Nintendo with its handheld consoles since the Game Boy Advance, but the possible applications of this new R & D acquisition by Nintendo is interesting.

New video streaming applications through your 3DS, anyone?
