Data from Forecasting & Analyzing Digital Entertainment, LLC (FADE), shows that the Xbox 360 had a bumper year for sales, with XBLA revenue hitting a record $US144 million for the year.

Surprisingly, perhaps, the brilliant but somewhat forgotten work of art, From Dust, topped the revenue intake for the year, with 308,000 sales and an estimated $US4.6 million in revenue.

Microsoft’s own game, Full House Poker, however, sold the most units, a whopping 375,000. A massive number for a downloadable game, I think we can all agree.

Castle Crashers, Trials HD, Magic: The Gathering and Bastion all performed well, as could be expected. Somehow, Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale, despite a critical panning, sold impressively, showing the strength of the brand.

The full list can be found below, with units and revenue:

Full House Poker (Microsoft Game Studios) – 375,000 Units / $3.6 Million
Castle Crashers (The Behemoth) – 335,000 Units / $4.6 Million
Fruit Ninja Kinect (Halfbrick Studios) – 324,000 Units / $3.2 Million
From Dust (Ubisoft) – 308,000 Units / $4.6 Million
Trials HD (RedLynx, LTD) – 286,000 Units / $4.0 Million
Magic: The Gathering (Stainless Games) – 278,000 Units / $2.7 Million
Torchlight (Runic Games) – 272,000 Units / $4.0 Million
Toy Soldiers: Cold War (Signal Studios) – 241,000 Units / $3.6 Million
Bastion (Supergiant Games) – 241,000 Units / $3.6 Million
Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale (Bedlam Games) – 210,000 Units / $2.8 Million

Remember: these are just the US figures. It would be interesting to see if the rest of the world follows suit.
