It seems the iJuggernaut is not going to slow down any time soon. Apple has delivered truly impressive sales figures for its the third quarter of its fiscal year (ended Jun 25, 2011).
In the quarter, the company shifted 20.34 million iPhones (up 142 per cent on the same quarter a year ago), 9.25 million iPads (up 183 per cent on the same quarter a year ago), and 3.95 Macs (14 per cent up on the same time a year ago).
The only product to drop in momentum was the iPod, which at 7.54 million was down 20 per cent compared to the same time last year. This is not surprising though – why buy and iPod if you have an iPhone or even iPad?
There’s more to come, of course. Apple’s preparing for another strong quarter that will see the release of a new operating system and its new iCloud product. The company is anticipating revenue of around $25 billion next quarter.
