Duke Nukem to star in iOS version of Death Rally

Now here’s a game with serious pedigree. Death Rally, on all iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch models, comes to us from the same folks who produced the excellent Max Payne and Alan Wake games.

The developer, Remedy, has also collaborated with two iOS specialists, Mountain Sheep and Cornfox & Bros to optimise Death Rally for Apple’s platforms.

The game itself is a car-based deathmatch game. You’ll start with a weak car armed with weak weapons. It’s up to you to survive. Winning matches earns you monies to upgrade the car and purchase better guns.

Keep an eye out for some special characters, too – Duke Nukem phones in a performance, along with Barry Wheeler from Alan Wake and others. There’s even a cameo from Angry Birds planned.

It’s launching for a relative premium of $US4.99… but you just know this one is going to be good.
